Beef-Bacon Cheeseburgers

 


 

Ingredients


4

slices bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and crumbled 

1/2

cup  quick-cooking oatmeal 

3

tbsp.  ketchup 

2

tbsp.  brown mustard or yellow mustard 

1/4

tsp.  pepper 

1/4

lb.  ground chuck 

4

slices Cheddar or smoked Gouda cheese (about 2 oz.) 

4

hamburger buns, halved and toasted 

 

Lettuce, tomato and pickle (optional) 

 

 


 

Directions

1. In large bowl combine bacon, oatmeal, ketchup, mustard and pepper. Add ground beef. Shape into four 3/4-inch-thick patties.

2. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium direct heat. Grill patties, uncovered, 14 to 17 minutes or until done (160°F). Top each burger with slice of cheese. Continue grilling 1 minute more or until cheese melts. Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and pickle, if desired.
